Hannah Kranzberg, Guardian of Democracy Honoree
Hannah Kranzberg epitomizes the values that lie at the heart of the New Israel Fund-a passion for social justice, the drive to pursue equality and peace, and a deep devotion to the vision of a liberal, democratic Israel. The consummate activist, Hannah has for forty years committed herself to Tzedek Tzedek Tirdof ("Justice, Justice you shall pursue") and the promotion of peace, social and economic parity. She supports and works with organizations devoted to civil and human rights, defense of minority rights, Israeli-Palestinian peace, and the amplification of women's voices and women's equality. We are delighted to honor Hannah as this year's Guardian of Democracy for her longtime service to the New Israel Fund.
