Renewal, Peace and Possibility in Challenging Times

A Conversation with Ethan Bronner of The New York Times and Professor Susannah Heschel
Featuring Rabbi Brian Lurie, New NIF Board Chair

Ethan Bronner is one of the most prominent and thought provoking journalists of our time.  Serving as Jerusalem Bureau Chief for The New York Times, following four years as its Deputy Foreign Editor, Bronner's unique understanding of the complexities, controversies and social realities of Israel is unparalleled.  Mr. Bronner will address the prospects for solving Israel’s most intractable problems post-election.  He will spice the evening with stories of his four years working for The Times in Israel while engaging in lively and compelling discussion with distinguished scholar and author Professor Susannah Heschel.

Join us for a festive dessert and champagne reception following the discussion, featuring music from the renowned Israeli jazz ensemble, the Ehud Ettun Quartet.

This event is co-sponsored by Temple Beth Zion, Brookline, MA
