Yifat Solel is a civil rights attorney and a political activist. She is the chairperson of The Cooperative Alliance for Social, Economic and Environmental Justice. She is also a member of the Meretz Party’s Executive Committee and is 9th on the party’s Knesset list. Additionally, as a lawyer, Yifat specializes in social rights legislation submitting petitions to the Supreme Court to enhance free speech and democratic rights.
Beit Ha’am is a home for all. It began as an open building to host and sustain the charged energy from the summer 2011 encampments throughout Israel. It has since become a hub for thoughtful activity; an autonomous space that pursues peace and social justice for all people. As a public center for creative political enrichment, conversations, lectures, workshops, screenings, receptions, exhibitions, and more, take place regularly, and often spontaneously.
The Cooperatives Alliance for Social, Economic and Environmental Justice is a non-profit cooperative society. Its members are cooperatives – most of which emerged out of the social protest that took over Israel's streets in the summer of 2011. Its mission is to achieve a dominant civic economic power through starting of practical and stable alternative based on different cooperative models.
